History

Halfway between the historic center and the stunning beach of Isola Bella, La Bergerie is a typical Sicilian house from the late 1800s, originally used as a sheepfold, hence the name La Bergerie, and later transformed into a family home. The house still reflects its ancient structure. In the renovation, we paid attention to using traditional techniques such as "coccio pesto" and lime plaster typical of rural houses, preserving original parts to let you experience the atmosphere of the old Taormina residences. Looking out from the small terrace and admiring Isola Bella, breathing in the ancient scents of olive trees and centuries-old bougainvillea while sipping a glass of wine, will take you back in time, to the era in which travelers on the Grand Tour discovered the beauties of Taormina.
